Essential Energy Contract  - 8 year Contract Installing 358 Security Mesh

We have installed security fencing for the former Country Energy’s zone sub-stations, including projects at:

Dorrigo, Dunedoo, Echuca, Moama, Thredbo, Kywong, Captains Flat, Booral, Woolgoolga, Bootawa Dam, Murwullimbah, Ardlethan, Pambula, Bega, Leeton, Griffith, Mallangane.

Power Serve.  Moolarben Mine, Ulan

We constructed high security fencing using 358 Mesh around the Ulan electricity sub-station, as well as chain wire to meet the mine’s specifications in accordance with Australian Standard AS2067. This fencing ensured the mine could maintain fence integrity, with cable tray entry modifications

Palisade Fencing

IDowner Edi, Boambee Sub-Station
The Installation of 328m of Palisade fencing, plus razor wire at the Boambee Sub-Station, including, a 6m double gate and a 300mmconcrete plinth under the entire fence.

Vasp Group - Kandos Communications Tower

The Supply and Installation of 70m of Palisade style fencing, including a 3m double gate and concrete sill underneath, as per the client’s specifications.  

Corro Mesh

Grafton D/C Training Facility

At Grafton, in northern NSW, we supplied and installed:

  • 660m of medium security Corromesh fencing with an anti-dig concrete plinth underneath

  • 6m double gate

  • 3m gate

  • two pedestrian gates with plinth and speed humps

  • 340m of 2.15m high chain wire with a 5m extension of 4 HT barbed wire and an anti-dig concrete plinth underneath

  • Two additional 6m double gates with plinths and speed humps.

Walgett Field Service Centre

At Walgett, in western NSW, we supplied and installed:

  • 120m of 2.4m high Australian Security Fencing Corromesh and razor wire

  • 27m of 3m high Australian Security Fencing Corromesh and razor wire

  • 1m pedestrian gate

  • 6.4m vehicle gate

  • 6m vehicle gate

  • 6.85m vehicle gate.

 A concrete plinth was added under the southern boundary and part of the eastern boundary, and 90m of concertina razor wire was added on top of existing Colourbond fencing

Diplomat

Charles Sturt University Dental Clinic, Dubbo

At CSU’s dental clinic in north Dubbo, we supplied and installed:

  • 360m of Diplomat style fencing

  • 1,200m of chain wire fencing

  • two 4m electric sliding gates

  • 1.5m pedestrian access gate

  • 3m non-automated gate

  • 6.9m motorized vehicle entrance sliding gate.

Country Energy: Young Field Service Centre

At Young, we supply and installed:

  • 377m of 2.4m high Diplomat powder coated security fencing

  • 7.2m sliding gate

  • 6m swinging gate.

Bardon Park  Regional Centre for Athletics

Supply and Installation of Diplomat Fencing.

The Diplomat Fence provides the world class facility with security, and enables saftey when events are on for both Athletes and spectators.

Delroy Park Estate, Dubbo

Benson Fencing has been fencing this residential housing estate in west Dubbo since its inception in the 1990s. Delroy Park is covered by a covenant that specifies Colourbond fencing, with decorative fencing on corner blocks, mostly black chain wire and, more recently, slat fencing. 

Black Rock Estate, Pottsville

We were contracted to supply and erect koala-proof fencing and gates to the Black Rock Estate. Specifications for this project were:

  • 1034m of 1.8m high galvanized chain wire mesh fence

  • 32 NB gal pipe posts approximately 3m centre

  • Posts concreted 600mm into the ground

  • 60.3OD end and corner posts concreted 750mm into the ground with 32NB stays

  • galvanised flat sheet iron on the bottom of the fence, with crush folds top and bottom

  • lockable double gate for fire trails

  • two 2400 leaves with reinforced concrete plinth to make koala proof.

Cedars Nursing Home, Casino

This was a large project on the north coast of NSW with many design hurdles which we were able to overcome. The main spec for this project was for:

  • 284m of 1,8m high Oxley ring, with 32m of fencing at 1.2m high

  • tubular style fence gates with a decorative spear

  • four main gates

  • other gates included 12.6m x 1.8m high, electronically operated

  • 5.3m x 1.8m high, electronically operated gate

  • pedestrian gates at 1.25m x 1.8m and 1.25m x 1.2m, magnetically operated latch and electronic key pad

  • 1.8m chain wire on the boundary, with horizontal bamboo screening.

Horizons Retirement Village, Dubbo

For this retirement village in Wheelers Lane, east Dubbo, we supplied and installed:

  • 85.6m of 1.2m high black chain wire fencing

  • Six 1.2m black chain wire gates to suit

  • 104m of 1.8m Colourbond fencing

  • Six 1.8m high Colourbond gates

  • One gate with key lock.

Lady Cutler Oval, Dubbo

After the December 2010 floods, we supply and install 1.4km of 0.6m high powder coated steel rail fencing around the soccer and cricket fields at Lady Cutler Ovals near the Macquarie River.

Pacific Highway Upgrade - Sapphire to Woolgoolga  Project

Benson Fencing commenced on the Sapphire to Woolgoolga Project back in 2010, and has been involved in many design aspects for Fences including,

NSW Government Projects

Our recent chain wire fencing projects have included:

Chesterfield, Dubbo

Supply and install:

  • 95m of 1.8m high Chain wire fence with continuous top rail

  • Two 1.2m wide single pedestrian access gates

  • Two 7m hydraulic boom gates, with photo electric safety beams

  • Radio receiver

  • 10 radio transmitters.

Australian Rail Track Corporation, Binnaway Compound

Supply and install:

  • 200m of 1.8m high galvanized chain wire fencing

  • Three barb wires on top increased total height to 2.25m

  • All posts were concreted into the ground (not driven)

  • Supplied and erected to AS1725.

State Water Corporation

We supplied and installed to plan and and in accordance with AS1725-2003 standards 10 17m x 17m chain wire security fencing compound, using:

  • continuous top rail

  • medium grade gal pipe

  • heavy gal 3.15 wire

  • 50x50 KB chain wire

  • 1m x 1m lockable access gate

  • Three barbed wire extensions

  • Concrete slab.

These compounds were constructed throughout NSW, at the following State Water dam sites, many of which posed access challenges:
